I am going to start working ten days straight for twelve hours a day roughly (yay Rodeo). How am I supposed to stick to eating the way I have been so that I do not gain weight back?? There is no fridge for me to put food. The only place you can eat at is fast food and I never even know when I am going to eat. I am doing really good so far and I do not want me having to work to mess that up.....

I wished I had some feedback for you. I am in the same boat. I work 48 hour shifts on an ambulance. Never know where I will be. SO usually end up eating fast food. But here are some suggestions: Nuts, fruits, meal replacement bars. Good luck0

I suggest stocking up on things like protein bars and such. fresh fruit that does not need to be refrigerated and perhaps things like soup. it sucks but you can do it! I work crazy hours sometimes too so I get it.0

Try stocking up on healthy snacks that don't need to be in the fridge. Also can you get a lunch pack that can hold those ice things in it to keep your food cold?0

iI too work 12 hours and sometimes a long stretch till I am off. I have me a lunh pail with a cheap ice pack I carry all my food and snacks. Example fruit protein mixes, cooked ckicken and fish, salad health bars. If I buy off snack trucks it is onlywater juice or salad which moet of time I carry any way. I find that being prepared I am ready to keep my meals as planned.0

Have healthy non-perishable food items on hand, and when you have to eat out choose salads with light dressings or grilled chicken sandwiches w/ no mayo. It'll probably get boring, but you can make it work! Can you keep a cooler in your vehicle? You could pack sandwiches and other healthy options to take a break from eating out. Good luck!0

My tip: moderation0

The good thing about keeping busy is that sometimes you forget to eat ... Actually that's not so great as this can lead to bingeing later. I suggest keep a water bottle with you (proper hydration is key to weight management) and as others have said pack healthy foods that don't require refrigeration. I hear that almonds are a particularly convenient and nutritious food to take with you.0

Maybe you can bring some food like apples, bananas, canned tuna, etc that dont need to be refrigerated.0

Is this something where you come from home, work and return home or are you away staying at a hotel?
If coming from home everyday....buy you a cooler type bag, cold packs and stock it full of your meals. I bring one to work with me every day! In it I pack my lunch (sandwich, baby carrots, an apple and a chip of some type-right now its pretzels). Then I also bring low carb yogurt, string cheese and pickles.
This gets me through a 10 hour day and most times I end up bringing most of the snacks home with me.
If you are going to be away, I would go shopping and buy you a tote full of non perishable items like apples, rice cakes, jar of natural peanut butter (and plastic knives), fiber crackers etc and so on.
Then when you do go to the fast food joints, pick the best option you can and then supplement with your stash.
YOU CAN DO THIS but its going to be challenging.
I would like to hear you came back and lost a pound. How great would that be???
Good luck and have fun. Sounds like something you like to do!0 -
just bring food you don't need to heat up and won't go bad if not kept cold all day; You can do it! Fruits, veggies, bread products, canned food that has the peel of top (like vegetable soup tastes fine even if it's not heated), etc.0
