My name is Joe and I've been using MFP for a little bit with some success. Two years ago I was in great shape training for a marathon. A month before the race I developed stress fractures in my legs and couldn't run at all. I quickly put on weight and each time I tried to get back out and run my legs would hurt. I've finally figured out that the best way to help my legs is to lose the extra weight. Ideally I'd like to get back in marathon mode by first getting to my goal weight.

Joe, I am in a similar situation only it was Achilles tendonitis. It has been a really stubborn injury. My goal is the same - lose the excess weight so I can get back to my favorite sport - running. My goal is to be under 150 by the spring.0
