    I absolutely don't. It's a diuretic, so it actually takes water from you.

    Common misconception. It is a diuretic, yes, but there's more liquid in the cup of coffee than you'll lose by drinking it. Say the diuretic effect is -3, then the waterlevel in it is 4-5. 4 - 3 = 1, which is more than nothing.

    Coffee and tea also count in your tally. Many used to believe that they were dehydrating, but that myth has been debunked. The diuretic effect does not offset hydration.
