I know we have all sorts of reason's why we want to lose weight but I have one question for ya....WHO do you want to look like as in physically....you dont have to want to be like this person or even like this person, just like their physiq thats all.....

I have a picture on my wall @ work of Janet Jackson

I don't compare myself to others, I find it futile. I want to be a healthier, happier, sexier version of myself.

I'm with Kerri on this one:bigsmile: I'm working on learning to love ME and continue to get healthier for me. In the past I've found I've compared myself way too much and ended up never feeling good enough....I think I'll stick to ME now:wink::laugh: :flowerforyou: and just tweek a few things:laugh:

    But a fun question Summarain:flowerforyou:

    FC:heart:

Ok, Oh DUH...Ok, I get the question now! :blushing: I thought it was a question more in the lines of WHO we wanted to be aka look like. I'm going for the healthy fit athletic type but still looking feminine but I agree with Neeter...Jillian is definitely an inspiration to me as well. When I look at Hers Muscle and Fitness mags I love flipping through and not just picking up tips but feeling I can be that strong and fit as I continue to workout and eat healthy.:drinker:

So Yup, lots of inspiration out there...:flowerforyou:

Jillian Michaels. Even though my boyfriend says she looks manly LOL. I want her abs. I've been doing her Making the Cut workout and whenever my jeans feel looser I say "thanks Jillian" to the mirror, ha ha ha.

I also get motivated when I see pictures of female athletes, especially runners.

I agree with Jennifer Anniston having a great body.

I think that Ginnifer Godwin (spelling?) from Big Love is inspiring because she was already cute but recently she's lost weight and I think she looks amazing. I feel like I have her body type and that getting in great shape like it looks like she's done is acheivable for me. I like how she looks trim and in shape without being too skinny.

I obviously have a lot of inspiration LOL... it's not that I compare myself to these women per se, I know every body is different and I have honestly come to love my body! (Something I never used to think I would ever think!) But it is motivating for me to see images of what I think I can acheive if I stay dedicated and discliplined. I like to pretend I'm an olympic athlete who *has* to train and eat well... or a celebrity whose job it is to stay in shape... maybe I'm just weird!

I get ya, but i know we all look at celeb's especially and say, "i'd love to have that physiq", not necessarily saying "i wanna be him/her".

I definately want to be a better me, but i'd love to have great abs like Janet!

My motivation is to be mistaken for my 18 year old's young adult aunt (mid 30's) and not his mother (mid 40's). Very similar to the Janet Jackson scenario (Proud 40ish mistaken for a vibrant 30ish)

I don't think i want to look like anyone but myself, but since everyone allready calls me J.Lo
I guess i'm going to be J. Lo :) i'm bee ing realistic.. can't be Jen Aniston or Jes. SImp. s in ce i do have a J. Lo version of butt and i dont tink that i can change my body that dramaticaly , i will lose weight but i will always have a bigger.. *kitten*-et..

But i do like J. Michaels, but that to me is way to unrealistic to shoot for, it's like saying i want to be a barbie doll :) never gonna happen, so i keep my goals realistic..

    Jillian Michaels.

Because she's not just thin. She's lean, strong, tough, atheletic and fit.

It's less what she looks like and more what her body represents. That she takes care of herself, eats right, well conditioned and general healthy living resulting in a body like that strong that can withstand any storm.

Sure, Jen Aniston looks good but she smokes and have to way overexpose herself to prove to the world that she looks good. C'mon!! Seriously, that to me is not the picture of health or well being. It's desperation.

Jillian Michaels is so strong physically and mentally that she doesn't care a rat's *kitten* what others think of her.

That to me is a pic of a fit, strong woman.

I want her abs too. Maybe we can ask her which Cosmetic surgeon gave them to her.

    I'm my inspiration. :smooched:

And the teachers at my fitness class. They are all professional dancers with amazing lean bodies. Nothing fake. They're 100% real, purely the results of their eating and exercise efforts. And they help me with my workouts, moving my legs and hips into the correct position. It's a privilege and an inspiration to work with them.

Faith Hill would be nice. Only with slightly darker skin and much darker hair hehe. I think she is hot.
But any thinner fitter me is good.

What's with the Jennifer bashing LOL. She works out a lot and eats well. I agree smoking isn't healthy but I would never call her desperate... she looks pretty healthy to me.

I guess to each her own. :)

And Jillian says in her book Making the Cut that no celebrity, herself included, looks like that in real life and 100% of the time. For one thing there are make up artists, personal trainers, stylists, etc... plus they are paid to look good and have no other jobs so they can work out way more than a normal person can. And of course there are all the unnatural options. But even the naturally in shape celebrities like her get in super good shape right before an event or before you see them on TV. She talks about "peaking" where you only eat protein for 7 days before a big event... to me that isn't the picture of natural health and that's why I don't compare myself to even Jillian... or even athletes because again, they are paid for that and can dedicate all their time to it, plus there is a genetic component. Sometimes I see a regular woman walking down the street or in an aerobics class and I'm like wow, I admire her, because that is 100% real and she did it. So to me there is *no* picture of natural health except for regular women (and men) who manage to juggle normal jobs, families, lives, and stay in great shape and take great care of themselves.

I just want to look hot in a bathing suit (and out of one, hehe) for my husband when he comes home. I want to look like myself, but sexier.

Melissa Johnson, she was on a Wife Swap episode. I would love to look like that!!! It is my inspiration to eat healthfully and continue to workout hard.

Laila Ali. I want to be a strong woman while still retaining my femininity.
  • I have Jillian Michaels as my wallpaper on my computer. While I don't follow her strict calorie restrictions, I find her body sexy and the fact that she seems so 'real' and down to earth inspiring.
  • Beyounce, J, Lo, Tyra Banks......
