Accurate Weigh-Ins?

What is your advice on having the most accurate weigh-in each week? I know that being nude is suggested and also doing it in the morning, but what if you ate a large meal the night before and it's still going through your system? Any suggestions?

  • I would say probably wait another day cause a large meal might not have fully digested yet.
  • In the morning, after potty, and nude. Works for me xD

    In the morning, nude, before you eat or drink anything. I also like to weigh in multiple times (like 3 times a week?) and then take the average, to balance out any light or heavy dinners.

    The important thing is to not depend so much on the scale numbers and focus on the overall trend. Some days your weight will be up due to normal fluctuation, so try to not let it stress you out.

    I get up. Pee, and jump on the scale, while still in my night clothes. I have been doing this since March and it is accurate enough for me.

    When I started my journey I wrote my "anticipated" weight on my office calendar, losing 2 pounds per week. Mid way through the year I was feeling discouraged as I hadn't lost much for the last number of weeks so I decided to pull out that calendar to see where I "should" have been. Much to my surprise I was the exact weight I had penciled in for that week!
    Ultimately it does not matter what the scale says week to week as some weeks you will lose more, some less, some not at all. Keep up your motivation and you will get there in the long run. A pound off one week really does not matter much.

    The day before my weight in, I drank lots of water. Eat low sodium and eat a light no starch dinner.
    I only weight in once or twice a month.
