How many calories would be in 11 rolls? I wanted sushi today so I went to Jewel (Grocery Store) and got pre-packaged sushi rolls. They did not have any of that information. I thought instead of ordering that would be a healthy choise. It was sushi eel rolls made with brown eice, cucumber, and eel. No cream cheese or avacado. Anyone?

we have this show here called Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp and the Nutritionist on that show recommends eating 3 slices of sushimi and 1 tuna or salmon roll. That's it. I know when I go for sushi I like to pig out, so it doesn't sound like a lot hey?

I think you mean 11 pieces. A roll is the entire tray.

I'm sorry, I don't know how much would be in that. Eel is high in fat, but it's good for you.

Actually, I wouldn't really worry about it. Brown rice has fiber and whole grain value, cucumber is good for you, and a bit of fatty fish does your body good.

If you're feeling really guilty, add 10 minutes to your cardio. It's not a big deal.

LOL, it's not like you ordered some SUMO PHILLY SAKURA DRAGON monster.

Hahaha I know I am acting like a spaz... I just wanted to get the right calorie count.... I looked on the data base but all of those include alvacado.. That adds alot of calories that I didnt eat. Soo idk what to even put.. One website tole me 90 cls a piece and I refuse to believe that!! That means about 1000 and there is no way that is even close!!

I understand, as hard as we work none of us want to have an extra slither of avocado added to the calorie count! Try to compromise in some way and pick the closest thing possible.

The reason I am acting nuts is b/c I am going out to dinner tonight for v-day. I am going to Tango Sur - steak house  I looked at the menu I have healthy choices so thats good. Which one?

    1. Camarones Salteados shrimp sauteed in a white wine balsamic vinegar, fresh tomatoes, and basil sauce

    2. Pez chilean salmon oven baked then sauteed in an orange and white wine sauce accompanied with mashed potatoes

    3. Medio Pollo Al Limon grilled half chicken, marinated with white wine lemon sauce, served with vesuvio potatoes and salad

    4. Pechuga De Pollo chicken breast grilled and accompanied with chimichurri, served with vegetables

Those are the non-steak choices.. Their steaks are out of this world! It was on check please :( Steak is a no no right? I havent had it in months
  • I would just enter the individual ingredients. You'll have to estimate how much brown rice you think was in your 11 peices, how many ounces of eel. Cucumber is hardly worth anything at all, so you can probably skip counting that... besides at most it would come to about a 1/4 cup. I have no idea what kind of calorie count is in seaweed, but estimate you ate about an oz or so... couldn't have been much more than that, as it's pretty thin stuff! The rice and eel are the most important components.

If you want a steak, by all means have one. Just three things:

    - Choose a lean cut, such as a sirloin or filet mignon. Stay away from rib eye!
    - Check the size. 6 oz? 12? Find out so you can partition your steak--a 12 oz steak is waaaay too much. 4-5 oz is plenty. You can take the rest home.
    - Check to see what it's cooked with. Tell them to leave off the butters and sauces and go light on the oil.
