Ok I was away in England on holiday for a week and was a bit naughty on my diet, came home and i've been having 2/3 cups of green tea with honey a day, I got weighed last night at the gym and was down 6 pounds in two weeks.

Is there any possibility that it was the green teas doing?

Interesting. Could it be either you got more exercise than you thought on holiday, or maybe you're eating too few calories on a regular basis? I know that if I don't eat a bit over 1300 a day, my weight loss is super slow.

oh damn! great job! i wish that happened to me jsut from the tea.. I drink about 4-5 cups of green tea daily, and apart from keeping me warm it feels that it does nothing. but hey, im glad that it works for you))

Green tea has long been staple in my brobible.

Ninja Edit: In fact I think I'll have me a few cups.
  • It could be, but I thought it would take more than 2/3 cups to really have any effect on weight loss. It could be a combination of the tea and you working out more/eating less than you realize.

Enough green tea can increase thermogenesis, raising you base metabolic rate. The amount of green tea needed for this effect is way more than most people ever drink, however.
  • I'm not eating less which was the weird thing, i'm still eating my recommended calories, and the only different part of my diet atm is that i'm drinking my 8 cups of water a day and the addition of green tea.
(i'm trying to think of a cause for managing to lose some while I was away and stuff since I actually missed the gym for a week and a half orz)
