I joined MFP in mid-September. I am just beginning to explore the different message boards and everything. I think I was too nervous at first! Since joining I've lost about 36 pounds and have 15 more to go. Looking for people with similar experiences and challenges. Would love to hear stories of success and motivation!

  • I just joined a couple of days as well, and now I'm exploring the message boards to see how they can aid to my weight lost goals. I have 15 pounds as well to lose which will bring me to my target goal of 175. It is has been so hard to drop the extra 15 pounds and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
  • I've heard the last 20 is the hardest to lose. In 1999 I got 2 pounds from my Weight Watchers goal when I thought (admittedly not my best decision) that I could "do it on my own." Over the course of 12 years I gained almost all of my weight back. I am now 15 pounds from my new goal (and only 7 pounds from my original WW goal), and have been pretty strict with myself. I'm not sure what you are doing to lose the weight, but I've found that a low carb plan (less than 20g a day) works best for me. At any rate, I wish you the best of luck!!!

Amen to that. I think the last 10-15 are so hard to lose. I've gotten down that low, but realized most was probably muscle and when I go off my low carb diet, the weight bounces back. Carbs kill me!!! I <3 them so. I've constantly struggled with the last 15-20 lbs permanently lodged on my hips, bum, thighs, and tummy. The trouble spots come off last, which is frustrating. I'd say I'm in that boat and have on and off again tried to lose it with no good luck. It's a bounce back and forth of about 20 lbs every couple years.
