This question was probably answered before but I can't find the answer so...
if I'm cooking penne pasta for myself how much do I cook for one serving?
I see alot of stuff about spaghetti but nothing about just pasta.
I'm planning on cooking pasta with tuna and avocado tonight

I think a serving of pasta is about 2oz. It should say on the package. Really no accurate way of doing it without weighing.0

Before I started weighing, I would tip the dry pasta into my bowl until it looked like what I wanted to eat, and then took out half. It's surprisingly about right!! Once you account for water absorption of the pasta (it grows if you hadn't noticed) and my distorted version of what a portion size of pasta actually is....0

The packaging will usually say how much a serving is in dry measurements. I believe penne is 2/3 cup?0
