I am going out to dinner tonight for v-day. I am going to Tango Sur - steak house I looked at the menu I have healthy choices so thats good. Which one?

1. Camarones Salteados shrimp sauteed in a white wine balsamic vinegar, fresh tomatoes, and basil sauce

2. Pez chilean salmon oven baked then sauteed in an orange and white wine sauce accompanied with mashed potatoes

3. Medio Pollo Al Limon grilled half chicken, marinated with white wine lemon sauce, served with vesuvio potatoes and salad

4. Pechuga De Pollo chicken breast grilled and accompanied with chimichurri, served with vegetables

Those are the non-steak choices.. Their steaks are out of this world! It was on check please :( Steak is a no no right? I havent had it in months .........:drinker:

Breakfast:
1/2 grapefruit and med orange
Lunch
Misco soup (30 cls)
11 eel and cucumber sushi brown rice rolls
What do you think for dinne???

3 or 4. 3 sounds best to me, yum. "Sauteed" means pan-fried, and usually includes lots of oil. Not that one dinner's gonna hurt ya :flowerforyou:

You can get any of them. Just skip the potatoes. Ask them to substitute grilled vegetables or a side salad.

Yea steak is not always bad... My body doesnt handle certain foods well. Like bread If I had bread every day and stayed with in my calories, carbs, etc. I would look bloated. its like my body takes time to process those foods....

Get a lean steak- like a filet minon. When you consider the calories in those sauces (which are probably full of butter) the steak is probably the lower calorie option anyway.

I would get the salmon or a lean steak like filet or even sirloin is leaner.

    Mmm, enjoy!!

If you like steak, go for the steak. Just try to keep the portion you eat down to the size of a deck of cards....you might even have enough left over to slice up and add to a salad tomorrow! Great protein, right?

 Generally, steaks come out HUNKIN' HUGE! So if you only eat a small portion, (ie: about the size of a deck of cards), you WILL have leftovers. I do it all the time.
