Made these tonight for dessert. I used a 9x9 pan, as I do not own an 8x8. When I spread the batter on, it was super thin, so I doubled the recipe. But then I ran out of egg whites and used a mashed banana instead of the whites for the second batch. I did not sprinkle chocolate chips on top because I personally don't need the "double chocolate." For 9 brownies, came out to 74 calories per brownie. It.... tasted like pure Splenda. I think 1 cup must have been way too much to use for one batch, because the 2 cups for 2 batches was definitely too much. Other than that, it was moist and tasty, just way too sweet. I would make these again, with half the sweetener.
