Ate out tonight and still came under goal!

My friend Kim is home on the island for a visit from Alaska (what a contrast). It was so good to see her. :flowerforyou: We ate out and I still came under my daily goal. My meal was grilled shrimp, fresh julienne vegetables, baked potato with a little butter and sour cream. We split a wonderful chocolate mousse cake--I had 2 bites. Celebrated her homecoming with Mango rum & pineapple juice. Glad I took that walk up the hill to off set some of the calories.

    Congrats! I ate out too and I was sure I was going to be over but wasn't : )

    It certainly is possible to eat out and still come in under on your calorie goal. I've started asking for a take-out container to be delivered with my meal and promptly halve my plate of food before I start eating. That way, I save calories, fat and sodium and can enjoy the other portion the next day for lunch. Today's restaurant meal portions are so large that it's very easy to eat only half and still be satisfied.

    BTW, sounds like you two had a wonderful visit and meal. Nice! : )
