Just realized if i had to pack everything i didnt want to lose tonight, i'd be happy with what i packed.
Its mostly a couple pants, few shirts, few books and personal belongings, makes sense; guess i was born to roam.

I'm the same. I have a few more items like my laptop and camera but other than that my list is about like yours. My goal has always been if needed it should all fit in my car. I have a small car plus a husband and daughter so it really isn't much room but it would all work.

I do have a bug out bag and I can pack my vehicle in 15 minutes if the need arouse to bail the current location.

I would probably need 2 or 3 bags... I have a lot of video games that I would never be able to buy again. :(

I have managed to drag that around the country with me just fine so far. I lived in 3 states in one year.

I could live with my gym kit-Clothes, water bottle, tower, hairbrush but I could also fit in my favourite stuffed toy - sentimental reasons (had since born and was my comfort item)

Also, my iPhone the ring I always wear and my watch (the iPhone is probably the highest value thing....the ring is sentimental but not very valuable and the watch is just a catalogue Casio thing but I'd be lost without it!) My purse would also fit in, it's not big-that has my mini mascara, some small cosmetics and my bank card.

And that's me...so I could live with it... in fact the bag I take to work, aside the stuffed toy has all of that in and there's still room... just in a small daysack...

No but everything important could fit on/in my car (a little Golf). I have a lot of outdoor gear that I would be devastated to lose, as it is neccesary for doing the things I love. I am very mobile and it is very easy for me to move. I do have a bit of furniture now, but it is not important to me.

hair straightener and a bottle of diet coke and I'd survive ... but not be happy. All my clothes don't even fit in my room let alone a gym bag! lol

Possibly. I once figued out that I could live in a 120sq foot home. With a little work, I could get that down to 100sq feet. So I could likely live out of a bag or two.

iphone + charger, laptop, two rings, one bracelet, water, bankcard.
if i didnt have to include clothes that is all..
oh and my puppy and boyfriend lol
  • Hm, depends on my gymbag. Nah, I'd fit everything in one if my life depended on it.
    - Gym clothes (obviously)
    - Laptop (for school/work/games - all my games are steam, so)
    - Kindle! (My whole library is on that one, including my manga)
    - A spare pair of jeans and my favourite t-shirts
    - Notepad and pencil case
    - Toiletries

Yeah, I'd be able to. I'd hate to leave behind my computer and xbox, but if I go a year on foreign exchange my bag will look pretty much like the above list.

For sure. I'm a big believer in minimalism so I could definitely fit my life into a small bag. I have almost nothing that I'd consider essential or irreplaceable. I also just don't have a lot of "stuff" in general. My parents are essentially hoarders, so I've swung in the complete opposite direction.

I've thought about this before, actually. If there was a war and I had to escape, that sort of thing. And I've come to the conclusion that if I'd have to limit my personal belongings and put them into a bag or backpack, sure - I'd be fine. After my weight loss I've only got a small pile of clothes anyways, and I've always been good at packing light.
