Ok, my start weight is 255 and my goal weight is 155. According to the BMI chart, I would still be considered obese at 155!!! This is super frustrating for me :-(

BMI is not a good way to measure success. I would look anorexic if I were to fall within the "Normal" range of the BMI chart. It does not distinguish muscle weight vs. fat weight. You should focus on percent body fat instead.0

I do health screenings for my current job and we really emphasize to take BMI with a grain of salt. It doesn't measure any muscle mass that you have incurred during your workouts or anything. Embrace where you have been and how far you have come. You are doing a great job!0

Though I agree with the above posters, I can relate to you! I had my goal weight set at 155. I saw that at 155 I was still considered overweight and so I changed my gw to 150 bc that would put me at a normal healthy bmi. bmi really is not the best way to judge your weight loss but I can understand why it would bother you to see the words "obese" or "overweight".
How tall are you? I'm 5'6" and according to bmi I am healthy starting at 154 pounds.0 -
Why not focus on getting there (155) first and seeing how you look and feel? If you look and feel great at that weight, no need to lose more. But if you still feel flabby, you could adjust your goal and keep sheddin'.
My initial goal was 130... I'm below that number now, but I know I need to lose more until I have a nice, flat (except for the muscle tones!) stomach.0 -
Focus on your acheivements so far. You will get to your BMI and when you do, you'll just need to work to maintain it. You're on your way and that's all that matters right now. Take a deep breath and continue what you're doing.0

Take a look at your height in comparison to your weight. If you are 5 feet 0 inches tall, yes, that is definitely in the obese category. Consult your primary physician for your personal healthy goals.
Meanwhile, you can consider the Mayo Clinic tools and info a reliable source: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/bmi-calculator/NU00597
