3500 calories = 1 pound

It would take that much on top of your maintenance calories to gain one pound.

If you are so inclined and have the confidence in yourself to enjoy a treat today, knowing that you will get right back on track tomorrow......then enjoy. It wasn't one meal or treat that made you gain weight. It's doing that all the time.

With that being said, my hubby just brought me banana pancakes on a platter with my favorite flowers. And some Godiva Chocoiste. Three flavors.....the dark chocolate with mandarin orange, milk chocolate and white chocolate. They are those little "pearls" that you can have 8 of for 25 cals!

And we are going out for Hibachi as a family later! WOO!!

Knowing you CAN enjoy life and treats and still get to your goal (As I did) = PRICELESS!!!!

So true! I believe the reason it is 'working' this time around is that I have not given up a lovely Valentine treat. It just stops February 15th!!

That's exactly it Jeannie. I get back to my normal, healthier, portion-controlled routine TOMORROW! :drinker:

I can honestly say that by doing this over the 16 months it took me to lose 135 lbs is what made this a different process. It wasn't all or nothing. It was just "common sense" and being smart about things.

This is why I love this site. I can calculate exactly what I went over, work it off, and know that I can do that and still stay on track. All or nothing doesn't work and can't be maintained. Y'all rock!

    Happy Valentines Day all!!
