So I just bought an older elliptical (it was cheap) and it does not have my put in my height or weight. so it says I burn 110 (+or-) in 20 mins. MFP says about 200... I do not have a HRM (Christmas) what do I put in? that's a 100 cal difference in 20 min!?!?

I would look it up on the web here at mfp or somewhere else where you put in your weight height heart rate etc. it will be more accurate for you. M
P.S., i love the elliptical, but i have a looong way to go.

    Hey!

Great work on the elliptical :)

I have been working on mine since last Feb and I love it!

However....I was SUPER bummed when I discovered the elliptical tends to exagerate the calories burned :(

So...I weigh 185 pounds and when I work on on the fat burner cycle for 60 minutes, although my machine says 1000 calories, I only record 700 calories...I always record 30% of the number it shows...I researched online and 30% seemed to be the more correct number.

    Good luck :)
