Ab exercises that are not crunch type moves

Hi All,
I'm looking for some ab exercises that aren't crunch type exercise. (There gotta be some, right?) The normal crunch type exercises give me neck strain even though I try to keep my head in position. Exercises that target the lower abs and obliques would be an extra plus.
Any ideas on exercises or resources on where to find some? Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

I use the ab machine at the gym regularly because I hate laying on the ground and doing crunches too. I just got Hip Hop Abs (a DVD workout program) and it's all dancing ab moves. Very fun! I highly recommend it!0

belly dancing work out dvd's. they work upper and lower abs, as well as back, shoulders, and arms.0

go into a plank position and pull your knees up one by one to your arms twist as you do . one of my favs0

There's one for the lower abs that you don't have to use your neck for. Put your hands under your butt or lower back, lift both legs in the air and pull them up, so that you lift your butt up, and back down. It burns! There's also always the plank, on your elbows or hands.0

Leg raises. Hang from a pull-up bar and slowly raise your legs and lower them in control. I find them a lot better than any sort of crunch or sit-up0

try leg raises (ideally from the chinup bar or you can from a captains chair), reverse crunches, or russian twists (on the floor using a med ball is super effective and good for the obliques).0

If you want to look them up for technique, these are commonly known as 'mountain climbers'.0 -
This article talks about ab exercises that are good for runners... but I'm sure they are good for everyone else too!

www.randomabs.com has a bunch of different abs exercises - many are crunch-style, but many are also something else - take a look through the list and find what you like.0
