I'm going through a period now where my motivation is at an all time low. I really don't know what's wrong... I just really don't feel like doing anything..Im really so tired of this cycle that I sometimes have in my life, where I start things but seem to never really finish anything. Help....

This used to happen to me all the time! Too much on the plate but it all needs to get done. One step at a time and prioritize! I have even taken break s from weight loss and stuck to maintenance just to focus on other things. I hope it all works out for you girl!

We all go thru that phase sometime or the other don we? No one can be as good motivator as own self, search within.. I'm sure u gonna be great.. Also when ur mind is streassed ur body stresses automatically.. Go on a holiday for few days... Spend time with loved ones.. or the best way i motivate myself? By realizing it though you can put a stop to it. It's really hard for me too, every time that i've attempted a "diet" I've always came off of it, lost motivation and just gave up or sabotage myself in some way. My main thing was food when I started, I honestly didnt want to give up my favorite foods and I would deprive myself of everything that I love that the minute I had the opportunity to have shrimp linguini or just any of my favorite foods that i'd go COMPLETELY OVERBOARD -- like, so stuffed and then i'd be like "well my diets ruined, might as well have a soda" and with me, I can't just have one soda..so before I'd know it'd be back to my starting weight SO NOW even though I do eat smarter and I do eat the things that I love in moderation a few times a week--coupled with healthy choices (and the right portions) I dont binge eat.

Also, I keep a pair of my jeans that I sooooooo badly want to get into laying on the trunk of my bed and every so often I try them on.

I'm doing things at my own pace, I may not be loosing weight as fast as i'd like but I am still loosing weight and maybe by doing it slowly and working on it'll help me completely change my lifestyle and i'll actually keep the weight off this time. Same can be said for you, you'll find your motivation again -- I think it happens to everyone at some point or another. You'll get through it :D
  • We all go through this at times. I'm hoping that it doesn't happen again. The most important thing that I try to do is at least try to get in a good walk. It clears my head and keeps me focused. If I mess up on the diet tomorrow is another day. The most important thing is to take care of you and set aside a little part of every day for you. Sometimes you just have to push through it. MFP helps too........we're all in this together, we all have ups & downs, but we get back up and you will too! Good luck, you will be fine!
