I know exactly how you feel! That sounds like the first time I gave the Elliptical a run...I did 30 minutes on the S.O.B. and that night I thought I was going to die...ha ha!

Prior to that I had only been working on the treadmill, which - after talking to a trainer - I discovered really wasn't going to do a lot for "the old spare tire". So, the trainer recommended the elliptical - an evil evil EVIL piece of machinery...ha ha!

That night after doing the elliptical for the first time, I was sitting on the couch after dinner and felt "ill". At first, I thought I had an upset stomach/heartburn, but then I realized the pain was more on the sides of my mid-section - not so much my stomach. Then, I put two and two together and realized it was my stomach muscles....muscles that haven't seen action in a very long time!

You know what they say though..."No Pain, No Gain" - or "loss" (preferred) in this case! Ha ha!

Thanks all. I got the Gazelle Freestyle Elite. It has the computer to monitor your heart rate, time, mileage, speed and calories. It has 3 adjustments to change up your workout too. I did get on it for 30 mins again this morning, and let me tell you I can feel a burn in every muscle group I have, down my back, my tuckus, my hips, my stomach you name it, it's sore......but I burned 343 cals!!!!!!!!! I love this machine..........gonna be back at it tomorrow.
