Did anyone splurge tonight?

My boyfriend and I are sort of night-owls, so we're still making dinner. He is grilled rib-eye and bacon-wrapped scallops, and I'm making garlic cheddar mashed potatoes (okay, those are from a box LOL but I did hand-wrap the scallops!). I cooked up the rest of the bacon for a snack. For dessert, we're splitting a huge butterscotch brownie!!! I love Valentine's Day!

I certainly overdid it today :blushing: We grilled steak too and had baked potato & veggies and garlic bread. For dessert, I made a cheesecake with strawberry sauce  I also made heart shaped sugar cookies, and dark chocolate roses. I can't believe I ate so much. Happy Valentine's Day!

We went out to Dakota's Roadhouse...I OVER-INDULGED on hot rolls with cinnamon butter! It was SO worth it!!
  • My hubby is out of town for work this weekend, so I took the kids out for dinner tonight. We went to a new seafood restaurant that just opened. I had grilled snapper with a baked sweet potato, broccoli and green beans. So yummy and actually stayed within my calories! I had enough left over to eat a few mock ice cream sandwiches for dessert. (Nilla wafers with frozen FF cool whip)

I did...kinda. My honey made dinner. I had a large Steak....really large (not at one sitting, had some for a snack) 2/3 cups of sweet peas and 10 brussel sprouts and garlic mashed taters (country crock) The steak was 580 cals, the rest was pretty healthy. My total dinner was darn near my normal cal intake for the day! 1098 cals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I worked out today and was able to add 350 cals for exercise and I had enough left over for dinner (didn't snack too much today). I still have cals left for a glass of choco milk and choco cake (ww-150 cal). So even though I had a huge dinner........I didn't do too bad I think.....Oh and I am down to 237 from 240 on Friday! Thank goodness all the holidays are done for the next 2 months.........

    Happy Sweetie Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a really nice day to unwind and just enjoy myself with my sweetheart without worrying so much about calories. Having said that I had quite the splurge :ohwell: I had:

    Caramel Machiatto (Venti!)
    3 small Valentines Day cupcakes
    2 slices of pizza
1/2 piece of chocolate birthday cake
    1.4 cups Chocolate Almond Milk
    3/4 cup blackberry wine.
A Pornstar (what a dirty name for a drink! :blushing:)

I was a bad, bad girl today! I didn't get my calories from very good places!

I knew I would be having extra's today so I got quite a bit of exercise in (I even walked everywhere I went for a total of one hour and 15 minutes in -20 weather!)... I'm still over by 340ish calories... but they were worth every last bit! We all deserve a little break once inawhile.

    Back on track tomorrow.

Wow! I had exactly the same as BenW and I was full. He forgot to say we had a yummy fruit smoothie later in the evening
  • I guess yesterday was the day to overdo it, huh? My fiance and I cooked cheese tortellini together, and made our own alfredo sauce (while i'm not sure of all the nutrition info for that, I know an entire stick of margarine went into it... eeeek), and we made homemade rolls to go with it. We ate dinner by candlelight, and listened to jazz music... how romantic!

We were supposed to do hibachi...but the stupid restaurant was over-booked and basically reservations meant squat! :grumble:

So, we went somewhere else and I got filet mignon!

Also, when I was at work earlier, someone brought brownies in for us and I had a small one.

But, I am at goal and maintenance and pregnant and I have discovered that splurging once a week seems to work out well for me. I am careful and portion-controlled the rest of the week and then one meal, I chill!

Sounds like everyone had a good meal (or 2!) with some yummy sweets. I am not one for sweets, but love pasta and breads.

It is also DH birthday so I have to do what he says (get your mind out of the gutter, I have to COOK what he says:grumble: )

So we had bacon wrapped Scallops
    pistachio encrusted shrimp
    homemade macaroni salad
spinach salad with balsamic dressing and feta cheese

I was surprised cuz he ususally wants something really fattening, I must be rubbing off on him (AGAIN minds out of the gutter people! )

:flowerforyou: I hope everyone gets back on track today and has a wonderful week!
