Should I be embarrassed that I have to look some of these up?
    Yes, and

    *hangs head in shame*

    Petrichor? perspicacious?

At least I've learned something :)

I'm embarrassed too. There's some impressive words here. I've never heard some of them.

This is actually my favorite thread of the day :) Some words I rarely think of and adore. Others are new to me and I'll enjoy the challenge fitting them into conversation.

I agree. I like proper conjugation. And tense.

I love to take nouns and turn them into verbs by adding -ing. Great sport. At least I think they're verbs.

Especially if I can actually say a word that really isn't a word at all, but sounds like one.

Like "Gravying". That's a word, right?

I was in a training at work recently & the instructor worked "ubiquitous" into his lecture without sounding like a pretentious *kitten*. I was pretty impressed.

I like vitreous, superfluous & discombobulated.
