What's for dinner? I only have 260 cals left for today!

So, I overdid it on lunch today. I have about 260 calories left for the rest of the day. Any suggestions on something for dinner? I have ground beef thawed out already but don't have to use it today. Anything else may require a grocery store trip. ugh...

    i kind of did the same thing and didn't make it to the gym this morning so i am having an omlet with one egg and 2 whites with veggies and a little bit of ham, a piece of whole wheat toast and clementines. my family loves breakfast for dinner so it will be a hit with them too!

    Hit the elliptical or treadmill and earn a few hundred points.

    i had chips this morning...which made me go over my calories if i ate my planned meals...so for dinner today i am just going to have a cream cheese sandwich and some broccoli on the side....(no couscous for me today;o( the chips were so not worth it!)

    Brown about 4 oz of the Ground Beef, Add water and a beef bullion cube and 2 cups of frozen mixed veggies bring to a boil and enjoy a huge helping of Veggie Beef Soup.

    From the looks of your food diary, you are only allotting yourself 1200 cals a day? WOW!
    SMH.... not good, my friend.
    If you go over your calorie goal today, you still cannot possibly gain any weight.
    I wouldn't sweat it. Pick out something decent to eat and don't worry about the calories. Worry about quality.
    Then, I would go back in and reassess just how badly you need to be limiting yourself to the kind of calorie allowance you're prescribing for yourself. It's hard to do, and if you try to keep it up, you're going to become cranky and have no energy.
    If this is how you like it, by all means, have at it. But that's just me.

  • 260, you can make it happen! I would go for some popcorn as a snack (either a couple of hours before or after dinner) share a full-size bag and you may use about 60, then you've got 200. Then I might do frozen meal, or the Progresso soup, or a nice big salad with minimal toppings. Or maybe you could even do a burger patty w/no bun.
