So, I'm trying different things to clear away my cold as soon as possible. My cousin has used the neti pot/ told me about it (which literally a small pot you fill with a solution + water and you drain your nasal cavity) <- I know, sounds gross, but I can't think of a less descriptive way to describe it. Anywho, I just got one and tried it out and I'm just not sure how I feel about it...whether I used it correctly, if it really did anything, etc.

Have you tried it? Success or waste of ridiculous time and money? Or rather.... Neti Pot... or not?

Okay, enough silliness I have to get back to coughing and sneezing. :(

Neti Pot... Not... .NeilMed's Sinus Rinse bottle, yep. Anyway, I swear by these things, especially because I have bad allergies and when all the stuff is floating in the air, it's great to rinse it all out. Until you get use to it, it's kind of weird to use. Everyone I know that uses some sort of nasal rinse agrees that it's worth it!

I get a lot of sinus colds, so I bought one 2 years ago. I find it to be quite helpful , it's soothing.

I love mine. I'm prone to serious sinus/ear infections due to a nasal cavity cyst. I use it almost on a daily basis and it has dramatically cut down my infections. And I rarely get colds now, too. And even when I do they're much shorter and less severe.

Neti Pots are amazing! As was mentioned, can take some getting used to with figuring out the right angle and getting used to the sensation, but they're great. You can buy special salt, but you can also just use fine grain sea salt - WITHOUT iodine. Very important to make sure you use the right salt, and don't put too much in, or you can burn your nasal passages.

I really wasn't that impressed with the neti pot I had. Bought the saline nasal bottle and it worked so much better. I have to use it once a day since my nasal surgery and I swear its what has kept me from catching all the nasty colds that are bouncing all around me at work. I haven't been sick yet. <knock on wood>

I use the regular rinse bottle and LOVE IT! My doctor recommended it a couple of years ago when I had a sinus infection. I feel it lessens cold symptoms quite a bit, and it feels like I'm getting over colds quicker.

yes ABSOLUTELY NeilMed's Sinus Rinse box set, can be found at almost any pharmacy. don't go with the store brand ones, it's not as good. NeilMed really works!!!!!!!!! i've been using it for years, every time i get a cold or a bad sinus headache, it's the first thing i think of.

Yes. I've used the pot and the bottle. I have a bottle permanently in my suitcase, so I'll never go away without it.

I haven't had a cold or flu in years...don't know if they are related. It gets rid of sinus headaches like nothing else does. I used to get them several times a week.
