Standing

I know this seems silly, but I'm curious to see how many calories I burned while standing in rank formation(I'm in the military if you couldn't tell from my name). I was there for an hour. The closest excercise I could find was 'fishing on a river bank-standing' so I docked about 50 calories from what it said because the ground I was on was stable and level, and I was not moving. Anyone think they can help me with this?

I have a similar situation (sort of), where I stand all day for my job. Unlike you, I get to fidget, pace and stretch for those 9 hours though. I log about an hours worth of 2 mile an hour walking (slow pace) in my exercise log, just to put *something* in there. I figure any other calories I burn I'll use as a buffer in my food log for anything that may be recorded slightly wrong.

I know that's not exactly the same situation as yours, but maybe you could use that hour of rank formation as a calorie buffer? Just a thought.

Also, thank you for your service!
