Friday morning ramblings

The last two weeks have been crazy and a real eye opener to the pro's & con's of daily weight checks vs. weekly. Also important is the use of things such as how clothes fit and increases in exercise performance to keep your motivation up.
On 11/25 I had gained 2 pounds from 11/18 and on 11/27 I was up 6 pounds from 11/18. I know most of it was probably water from my eating/drinking on the three days of thanksgiving, but it also sapped me of energy and motivation.
Rather than get discouraged, I was able to get in 4 really good sessions at the gym using my new program and made sure I kept my sodium and macro's in check starting Sunday.
Result based off this mornings official weigh in at the Dr.'s office was an overall loss of 8.5 pounds from 11/27 and a net loss of 2.5 pounds from my 11/18 weigh in!
I don't know if I would have stayed focus had I not been checking my weight each morning and just waiting until the next Friday. I think for tracking my progress I will continue to use my Friday weigh ins, but will check out my weight each morning to cure my curiosity.
The bonus NSV to this whole scenario is that the new belt I bought on 11/12 is down to having 1 out of the 5 holes left to use. I'll be purchasing my second belt since joining MFP pretty soon!

Great job Ray.
You encountered a hurdle but didn't let it get you down.
You re-focused and mapped out a new attack.
You are doing super!
You are learning so much and doing so well.
Proud of you my friend.
I also check my progress through the week but only do a weigh-in once a week.
Losing inches and toning up too.
SUCCESS!
Keep pushing forward...0
