New Weight Watchers Plan Launched Today

I'm one of those folks who came to myfitnesspal after not finding success in the pointsplus plan (The previous plan worked great for me). I've come to understand that other petite females with less to lose were in the same boat. They launched a new plan today which is mostly the same except dropped the minimum points from 29 to 26. I am still struggling to lose those lbs and nothing I do seems to help. (upping my calories, lowering them, zig-zag, more exercise, less exercise - I've tried it all.) Should I switch back and see if the new changes put me back on track. Anyone wondering the same thing?

i have a lot to loose and found i was constantly hungry with weight watchers so i switched here keep a 1600 calorie intake which i go over occassionally only by the odd 50 which isn't a lot really.. and i'm happy and loosing.

it does depend on you! i couldn't afford weight watchers still cant so being able to count the sugar, sodium, fat, sat fat, etc maeks it easier for me than working out points as i found food higher in salt and fat in the weight watchers snacks (which i had because they were low and tasty)

but try maybe trying it for a mont hand see how you get on?

I did WW with success on the old program too. I cannot do pts because it doesn't work for me. I lost 1/4 lb a week - 1 lb a month and really...it's really easy to find that 1 lb after working so hard for a month. I also obsessed about food. MFP makes it more livable and I never obsess about what I am going to eat and when. I feel free and I have lost 26 lbs since Sept 29, 2011. Its so up to you tho! Good luck!

One size does not fit all....neither does a "diet" plan or "lifestyle" plan if you prefer. WW is one of those one size deals, it won't work for everyone. I went to 1 WW meeting to check it out before signing my paycheck away...I didn't go back. At the time I was working graveyard shift in a 24/7 joint as a waitress. I saw a lot of familiar faces. At the meeting they were all supportive and rah rah, but I knew that they all snuck in the diner between midnight and 4am..... Another thing I always wonder about.... if the WW system is so good, why do they keep changing it? Maybe the plan would have worked for me, I will never know.

I was using WW but it was very very slow weight loss - but I did indeed lose weight. At the end I gave it up because I had stayed the same for four weeks. Too many "free" foods - no food is free of calories, and also there are always those 49 points per week which lull you into a false sense of security. I am very much happier here, have made some great friends and shall continue my journey .....

If the old WW program worked for you, why not go back to that? Do you still have your points slider? If not, its very easy to get one for free online, message me if you want to know where.

Lost and put it on back again!! Now since they changed it once again, I tht I had enuff and cancelled my dd!!! U pay soo much n still sit down with a calculator to find out the points!!!Been here a week and already feel more comfortable.... Much much easier to use!!! Hoping to stick on to MFP regularly!!!!
