First things first - what foods do you plan on eating???? Its a large menu and surely you must know which items you plan on having, right?

There are tons of healthy choices on that menu - and many I have had before... uber tasty!

The cold meze look fine but I'd avoid the hot meze and the mains all look fine except for the moussaka and the roast turkey.

    In answer to both

The hot and cold mezze is a stick it in the middle and all dip in job (which I hate) so would tend not to eat much of that part at all. Shame because it sounds yummy, i just get paranoid that people are whispering, 'look at fatty having some more.....' Really it's the mains that I'm puzzled with!

I like the sound of the Beyti (chicken) but haven't a clue what I would log it as!

Wow, all sounds delicious... love Turkish food. I used to live nr Orpington (many years and a different life ago). If I'd known there was a Turkish restaurant there I'd have been in heaven.

As Queen Stromba advised, stick with the cold meze and only have what you can fit on a side plate without it looking like a towering mountain of mouth-watering munchies

And then whatever you fancy for main.

How to log... have a look in the database... it'd surprise you what's there and if not, just write off 1000kc (or 1200kc if drinking).

Remember, one day won't suddenly ruin everything... you'll never succeed if you don't enjoy yourself and as long as you're exercising regularly you'll soon work off a few excesses here and there.

This time of year is not for the faint-hearted and if you want to enjoy yourself, that means you'll go over here and there and might have to do 10-30mins extra exercise to compensate.

But this is a marathon and not a sprint. You want to lose 2½st and you should be able to do that quite easily by Easter. I started the 2nd week of August this year and lost that amount of weight by mid-November. I've got another 5st or 6st to lose before I reach my goal and hopefully will do that before Xmas 2013... yes, I've given myself that long to do it, because I want to feel comfortable and enjoy myself and so far so good

Some lovely words there Kyle! Thank you so much, and well done on your journey so far! It's a new restaurant, no one's tried it yet so it's a bit of a gamble!

    Thanks fot the advice guys!
