I've just spent over an hour winding yarn..by hand, not with a yarn winder, and about now my arms feel like they want to drop off. Of course, winding yarn isn't listed in the data base, so I was wondering what could be an applicable entry in its place, if anything?

Honestly, I don't think you burned a whole lot of calories doing that. I know it does make your arm tired, but once you rest for a bit, you should feel better. I wouldn't bother logging it. I have wound up many a ball of yarn in my day and none of it made me fitter. After the ball is wound, I sit around for about 20 hours crocheting something with it.
  • Folding laundry? Similar motions, I think.

Oh that sounds like a lot of work! Was it worsted weight yarn?

Guys, what was the recommendation for the gal that was collecting nuts in the forest? I would think that it would be comparable.

Strength training? I'm not sure, but it sounds exhausting!
