If kegels dont work...the surgery is for prolapsed bladder..uterus to correct problem.

It's amusing to me how men agonize over the "devastating" complications of prostate cancer treatment, when they're pretty much the same things that women are supposed to put up with from childbirth and menopause.

Leaking after childbirth is not gross, it's part of life. And if exercise/weight loss/surgery/drugs don't work or aren't your thing, it's not the end of the world to just wear pads and do everything you would have done anyway. Giving birth is an amazing accomplishment and one should not feel embarrassed about anything that results.

I have felt sudden urges to go to the bathroom, but havent leaked. I had a c-section and then a v-bac. my v-bac boy is 14 months old. I think it helped that I was doing kegels to strengthen my muscles before I had my kids, so they were pretty strong to begin with, so it didn't take long for everything to go back to normal again.
So I guess this is my way of injecting some hope into the topic, some moms get their bladder back! :-)

Still get twinges in my c-section scar, where they put the shunt in. stabbing pain and then nothing in the blink of an eye. And, of course, the stretch marks that will keep me in a tankini for the rest of my life instead of a bikini, regardless of how much weight I lose.

If you need the loo during excersize just go.. save having accidents. If you hold it too long you'll end up having bladder cramp.

Problem with that is some of us go right before exercising and do not feel an 'urge' to go while exercising, it just *happens*. If you feel the urge then yeah, take a break and go, but that is not necessarily a solution for all of us. :-(

Ahhh...the joys of motherhood. And yea, panty liners wouldn't help, just gonna keep doing the kegels and wearing pads if i have any serious jumping to do. Surgery is not an option right now.
