It's about time! It's been one of the worst restaurants health-wise for way too long.

Everyone raves about it but it doesn't seem any better than any other chain restaurant... I mean it's fine but nothing special. Maybe the one I went to was just crap and others are better. Of course the fact that they have terrible service and served my husband raw chicken doesn't help my impression.

I don't even want dinner there, just the cheesecake. Can I just have a 1000 calorie slice of cheesecake for dinner instead?

IMHO, Cheesecake Factory >> Applebees, Charlies, Fridays, Tuesdays, etc. etc. etc. Also, the avocado egg rolls are awesome.
  • I think it's all about what you order at Cheesecake Factory. If you find what something that fits your taste, always order it. When I experiment, I'm disappointed. I agree with the post: Order a slice of cheesecake and no meal! Yum! I am also grateful that I live 3 hours away from the closest Cheesecake Factory. I think I would be swinging by for a piece (or two) of cheesecake WAY TOO OFTEN!

I really hate that restaurant, the food is gross and I had an AWFUL first date there once.

The Cheesecake Factory in Honolulu HI is AWESOME - my family went there two nights in a row! It's packed (so so popular!) and you have to be given a thing to tell you when your table is free, can be up to an hour, but it was so worth it.

I went there before I started dieting again, so of course ate a whole day's worth of food in one sitting, but the lemon fish was the best I'd ever had, and the tuxedo cheesecake = heaven!

So yeah the Hawaii one passes muster at least!

YES! :) I just got back from there, and had the Tuna Tataki salad for 442 cals. Amazing! Had hot tea with it and I totally feel full, and not deprived at all. Way to go, Cheesecake Factory!! :)

Last time I went, the food was so-so.

The cheesecake though, was incredibly sweet and tasty, but I do have a MASSIVE sweet tooth.

Best STEAK I've had has been from Emeril Lagasse in Las Vegas, but that's an unfair comparison. Best "chain-restaurant" steak I've had is from a local Applebee's. The chef they have there is a master of Steak. MMMMMMM
  • I was looking forward to visiting the Cheesecake factory when I was holidaying in Hawaii.....worst cheesecake ever! I have never seen such ridiculously over the top portion sizes as well!

Over priced and way too big of portions BUT I love the cheesecake and do go there one in a while as a treat. The red velvet cake cheesecake is soooooooo good! But I love dessert. Obviously enough since I am here.

Tried the potsticker appetizer and the chicken soft tacos from the Skinnylicious menu yesterday. I was impressed. Everyone tried the potstickers and liked them. The tacos were great! I am so glad restaurants are doing more options like this.

We have a gift card for there. I've never been... the idea of waiting in line to eat at a chain restaurant in a mall perplexes me. And I really don't get how they can have such a huge menu and do anything well. But I guess we'll find out.

We were there recently, and I had the White Chicken Chili that's on the SkinnyLicious menu. It was SO good! I love Cheesecake Factory, and that is the best thing I've ever had there — better than anything on the regular menu, if you ask me.

Not sure if your city has a "grand lux cafe" but they are owned by the same company and usually allow you to use gift cards at either place. Grand lux always seems to be more intimate with better service. Although the quality of food has been pretty decent at both. I mean it's not fine dining, but it's not chili's either.

I find it funny and a comment on current restaurant portion sizes that a 600 calorie meal is considered "skinny"

My wife and daughter went to Cheesecake Factory two nights ago, and brought home some pear and blue cheese flatbread. YUM!!
