You need to eat your calories or your body will think it's starving. I eat exercise cals too!0

I'm no gal, but I'll tell you what I think anyway.
Listening to your body is usually a good thing, pain, pleasure, sounds, feelings...etc.
all good to pay attention to.
BUT
the body is a chemical powerhouse. It has the ability to enhance, diminish, block, and alter
all kinds of thing if it thinks that is what it should do.
One of the problems with both starvation and overeating is that the body will get "used" to the amount of calories you normally consume, whether it's too few, too many, or just right. It will (after an adjustment period), reduce the enzymes that stimulate hunger if you eat too few calories because it thinks you already know you are hungry. It can (and will) also produce other enzymes that make you feel hungry even if you are eating over what you should be because it thinks this is normal.
So just because you don't feel hungry, doesn't mean you shouldn't eat. The ideal way to be is feed your body small but very regular meals and give it all the nutritional types it needs. This way, your body doesn't need to overcompensate by flooding you with suppressant or hungar stimulating chemicals.
Best to figure out your calorie consumption and what your expected calories are (this site gives you that estimate already), then see if you are eating the right amount.0 -
I know I sound like a broken record, but no one ever gained weight eating veggies. It is amazing how filling a pile of veggies can be. Use tons of them while you're cooking, snack on them all day long, eat a huge bowl/bag of salad vs. a small bowl....make it big. I promise - you will not gain weight from this.
Keep in mind that sometimes mental hunger can manifest itself as physical hunger.0 -
And guys.:blushing:
Thanks that's what i was looking for i need the explanation.0 -
I was feeling this way too, but the best plan for me is to just set a schedule and stick with my snack times, even if I am not hungry....I snack to nourish my body so that I don't become "hungry" or better yet starving.
Has worked for me.
Great job on your loss and keep it up! Drink that water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:drinker:0
