Food Processor Recipes?
I just got a new food processor, as well as a new juicer, and would like to start making use of them. Right now I am looking at ideas for my food processor as the juicer is a little more easier to come up with drink ideas for that.
I did make the hummus recipe that was posted here and that is delicious, but what other stuff can I make? I have the Black & Decker 8 cup one here: http://www.blackanddeckerappliances.com/p-223-8-cup-food-processor.aspx
I should have forked over the extra 20$ or so for the one with dough blade I guess, but oh well

I mostly process pesto, soup, and I just made this:
Roasted Cauliflower & 16 Roasted Cloves of Garlic
Total Time:
Prep Time:
Cook Time:

30 mins
Units: US | Metric
• 1 large cauliflower (trimmed and cut into bite size pieces, washed with water still on)
• 16 garlic cloves, peeled and lightly crushed
• 1 -2 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/4-1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/4 cup olive oil, adding more to taste
• more olive oil, to drizzle if wanted
Directions:
Mix oil, rosemary, salt, pepper and garlic together.
Toss in cauliflower and place in a large casserole dish in one layer.
Roast in a preheated oven at 450 degrees for 20 minutes; give a toss and bake for 10 more minutes.
I do warn you that I LOVE garlic. I eat it roasted plain, but I halved the garlic in this recipe and it came out very good (and garlicky).0 -
My favorite thing to do with my food processor is boil a bunch of vegetables (in water or chicken stock) then pour them in the processor and puree them. Cheap, easy, fast vegetable soup and it's great for getting rid of vegetable odds and ends like broccoli stalks, and a good way to use up things that can seem hard to cook, like parsnips.
Otherwise, the only thing I've used it for so far is making protein shakes.0
