  • My ratio is 45% carbs, 30% protein, and 25% fat.
  • i try to stay under 100g/carbs every day. for the calories i'm eating, i have mfp set to 25% carbs which gives me 113g and i just make sure to stay under that.

LOL! Me, TEMPORARILY at 40% with Fats and Protein @ 30%. This gives me APPROX a gram of protein per lb.

I'm set for 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat. It seems to be working for me, although I tend to go over on protein.

What can I say? Meat is good.

    55%

    Carbs don't scare me!
  • Meh percentages are not the best thing to go by IMO\

1g per lb of bodyweight PRO
    .35g x bodyweight FAT
Then the rest of cals for the day going to whatever (carbs for the most part)

    Don't use ratios

try and get 1g of protein per lb of lbm and somewhere in the range of .35-.45g of fat per lb of bodyweight. fill in the rest of your cals however you please

Agree w/ Sun and Acg. I set mine to 40% just to get in the ballpark.

Ditto!! I have the same % for carbs, then I shoot for 65-75 g of protein a day. I'm over my carbs most of the days, and under my fats... working on that, but it's hard!

I dont even know what my carbs are set to. And I dont worry too much over how my intake of carbs relates to the MFP goal. I just stick close to my calorie goal, make sure to get at least 100g protein, try to get plenty of veggies and beyond that I do what I want and don't worry about it. I'm no expert, I just don't have the energy to worry about so many things all at once so I pick the things most important to me.

Usually I'm 5% Carbs/35% protein/ 60% fat. Those have a 5% margin of error, though. Room to sway for a piece of wedding cake or birthday cake when need be! :)

50% carbs, 25% protein, 25% fat. This gets me to about 0.8-1g protein per pound of bodyweight.

I eat 50% carbs, 30% protein and 20% fat (or that is my goal) but I tend to go over on fat so it moves around a little. I may be at 45% carbs and 25% fat, etc. on days.

25 carb, 35 fat, 40% protein. That puts me a little over 1g per lb of bodyweight in protein.

If I did that, my ratios would be 30% fat, 37% protein, and 34% carbs. Weird how almost even that is, lol

Anyway, what I actually do is more like 45% protein, 35% carbs, and 20% fat. That's what works for my body and taste buds the best.

except the pro and fats would be minimums not maximums. so really all are variable from day to day, cho is the only one with no minimum
