How to get past day 1 of 30 Day Shred???

I did level 1 day 1 on Friday morning. I didn't have trouble completing the workout at all....not that it was easy but I had the endurance to get through. But on Saturday anytime I sat for more than 5 minutes my legs were so sore I could barely walk when I stood up. Seriously my 5 year old was walking faster than me from the car into the grocery store. It is Sunday evening and when I get up I'm still pretty sore.
This is mainly my upper legs, arms were fine. Any thoughts how to get past this? I'm kind of nervous about starting day 2. Since it was my upper legs I would guess it was from the squats and lunges and plan to take those a little easier tomorrow.
I have been doing mfp since September, about the same time I started Couch to 5k. I have completed that program on the treadmill and ran my first 5k on Thanksgiving. I expected to be sore from 30 DS, but this was way more than expected. So any advice would be appreciated. I plan to get back at it tomorrow.....wish me luck. :-)
