Have you met your goal weight?

Is there anyone who has reached their goal weight and allows themselves to indulge sometimes on foods that that you didn't eat while trying to lose weight? I've reached my goal weight, and just want to work towards more of a lean.. "tone" fit look but I've noticed that i've been allowing myself to indulge on foods that I would be too worried about to eat during the process of weight loss. It doesn't happen too often but.. I just don't want to get the mentality of "eat whatever I want, i'm going to the gym tomorrow anyways and I can work it off.." lol! It could possibly turn into a habit Anyone feel like this or have done this?

I met my goal and I do indulge. What's so bad about eating whatever you want and not gaining because you workout? I think that's awesome!0 -
Yes. I've met (and surpassed) my original goal weight. I've been maintaining at or below it for over a year now (Sept 2010).
I allow myself indulgence whenever I want it. I've learned to eat everything in moderation, following serving sizes and watch my portions. Nothing wrong with allowing yourself to enjoy life. This isn't a diet. It is something you have to learn to do long term if you want to be successful long term.0 -
My first goal was 85kg. Passed that.
Second goal was 77kg. Passed that.
Third goal was 72kg. Passed that and went to 67kg.
Realised I was a scrawny weed.
New goal was 77kg. Reached that.
Now I don't worry about scale numbers so much just BF%.
And yes I indulge frequently. IIFYM.

This is the point of not "dieting". If you discard food you like, then indulge, the chances are high that weight gain occurs which is why many people yo yo.
I've been teaching clients for several years now to eat what they want, but learn to comp and control the calories. Most people can do this and keep the same weight for a lifetime.

Well done on reaching your goal. I've pretty much reached mine but I am conscious that I could slip and fall back to old patterns easily. I'm less conscious now about having to exercise as much but still keep my calories balanced to maintain. A little splurge now and then is ok as long as it doesn't become a habit. All the best toning up and maintaining the goal.0

I met my goal weight, went a bit crazy eating and drinking, put on 2-3kgs, had to lose it slowly again and now I am back here I am much more concious that I can have anything I want, as long as I do keep tabs on it and it fits my cals, macros etc I can't have everything I want if it turns into a free for all I feel like on of those pendulum things, swung right out one side to the other, now trying to hang out in the middle here :P0

Hi - I've just reached my goal too and it's 3 weeks till Christmas - so care will be needed not to put it back on! I'm planning to stay on MFP and have adjusted my settings to maintain my weight. This is so I can get a feel for how much I should eat from now on. When it comes to treats - e.g. cake, I'll have half a slice & try to remember to eat it slowly!0
