Yes you can substitute Greek yogurt! I do it and can't taste the difference. I actually switch Greek yogurt for sour cream in almost every recipe that calls for it.

I've made it with plain greek yogurt and it was delicious. I use plain yogurt and plain greek yougurt in a lot of dishes and my family hasn't said anything that they've noticed.
