I'm slipping back into bad habbits and need to stop! I started in Feb at 205lb and since then have reached 147lb verging on being a healthy bmi. I got to this point by walking lots making sure I'm on my feet more throughout the day and eating healthier and less.
In the last week or so without realising it I've started eating more sweets here and not been walking as much due to the rain and not wanting to get my 3 and 1 yr old soaked. I just seem to have lost my drive.
Has anyone else got to this stage and what did you do to snap out of it?

Take a break, make sure you maintain rather than gain, then get back into it again after a few weeks.0

I know it's hard but you must not give up .... accept that you've slipped a little over this past week and get back on track. I was over 130 pounds last year and managed to get to 105 pounds in May this year. I relaxed my attitude have allowed my weight to creep up in the last 6 months. It is upsetting when I was so close to my goal weight, however I know I can do it and if I can then you can.
Are there any exercises you can do at home? I have just used the internet to get get short workouts you can do at home with normal everyday equipment. Do you have an iPhone? I also have a few exercise apps (that were free). I can inbox you details if you like?0 -
Well first of all congrats on your progress! You've done so well!
But I also am in a rut. I swear the holidays just make me go for candy. I cant stop myself. I think its an addiction.
My exercise is running but its in the 20s out here and tough to run for too long.
I'm going to try and join a gym, hopefully more exercise will push me to eat better.
Good luck and I'm right there with ya.0 -
You're doing great! I have slipped a little myself, with no loss in a month after being hospitalized and then the holiday. But back on track. Just take one day at a time and keep adding friends who will help support you and help you hold yourself accountable! Be proud of how far you've come. Look at some before and after pictures. log everything and remember you are strong!0

I JUST CAME FROM THAT STAGE. I HAVENT REALLY WORKED OUT SINCE BEFORE THANKSGIVING. A LITTLE WALK HERE AND THERE BUT NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT I HAVE NORMALLY BEEN DOING. TODAY IS MY FIRST DAY BACK. I JUST MADE THE CONSCIOUS DECISION TO JUST DO IT. DONT THINK TOO MUCH ABOUT IT JUST GET UP AND DO IT. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY FOR ME. MY HUSBAND ASKED ME AM I SURE I WANT TO DO IT AND I TOLD HIM I HAD NO CHOICE, I HAVE TO AND I BELIEVE AS LONG AS I KEEP THAT I HAVE TO IN MY HEAD THAT I WILL BE OKAY. I WISH YOU WELL IF YOU WANT YOU CAN DEFINITELY ADD ME AS A FRIEND. I AM HERE FOR YOU0

Please snap out of it! You have had some fun but believe me if you don't discipline yourself you will gain every bit back and perhaps even more. I am not trying to be mean but have been there. I was feeling so good about my weight loss, lots of complements, and loosened up on the routine of walking and counting calories in my mind I had arrived. I am starting over again. Continue to walk outside, inside on a treadmill or inside the mall or Walmart store. Best wishes and much success.0

On the road to losing 62 lbs - from 262 down to 200, I took the healthy life for granted, and slipped back as well.
I liked what I saw in the mirror compared to the blob of lard I was, and my wall was 211. I'd hit that weight, and for some reason, I began the slow creep back as old habits resurfaced. I bounced off that wall 4 times - even ballooning back up to 231 lbs!
I broke through on try 5 and have not looked back. The key was that I just decided that I could never - I MEAN NEVER, go back to my love affair with food. I suppose I held to the kernel of hope that once I reached a good weight, I could maintain while still eating like a rooting hog. NOPE!
These new habits and healthy lifestyles are either permanent or we will fail. I have resolved that apart from my "free day", I must forever release any notions of being able to eat like I once did. That ship had to sail!
It wasn't easy, and the battle continues. You are not alone!0 -

That has saved me a bunch of times. You're never done, unless YOU say you are. The limits that stop you are put there by you. No Limits!0 -
The only thing you can do is try to be more conscious. When you feel yourself going for a sweet, peel a satsuma instead. If your body is craving the sweetness, then just eat loads of fruit which will not only fill you up, but will also make you feel great. Once you start feeling great again about your achievements so far, you'll be back on track. Please don't give up - you've come so far.0

LOVE THIS!!!
i'm in the same boat as you hun. started at 241 and am currently 195. it was my daughters 1st birthday week last week though and i've done nothing but eat cake and party food. it was very very hard to stop. my other half said, look just have this 1 week where you dont worry, how often does is happen, pick a day to start back again and just get on with it. so today, i've had my healthy breakfast, i've done 30ds. back on track as of today.
christmas is coming up and i know mince pies and baileys will be my new diet. but christmas is once a year. so i'm gonna work my *kitten* off until christmas then chill out for the festive period.0 -

Agreed,
I believe most have slipped but once we decide that this is a lifestyle and not just something we are doing to get to a particular weight, we can move on a be the healthly person that we were meant to be. Congrats on your current success.0 -
I've been maintaining for 3 weeks and feel ready to give it all I got again. The break I think was good for me. I think to myself though "I could be 2 lbs lighter, oh well." You might need a break. If you don't belong to a gym try some indoor exercises. There's magazines full of ideas, phone apps, youtube, and dads.0

Thanks everyone for your help and support! I think I just need to see this not as a temporary thing. It's just so easy to slip into old habits again but so far today I've got myself back on track. I also gave away all my birthday chocolates and leftover cake from Saturday so no temptation there.
Thank you all again Clare0
