My short term goals usually are weight, but are something that will help with that long term goal. Like eat breakfast everyday or drink water exercise everyday. I also try to join challenges people post, like the valentine's one and there is one going on with doing 50 crunches a day for a week then next week is something else. And I think there is one having to do with the Biggest Loser (I've never read the tread bc I don't get any TV).0

My goal was to lose 5-6 pounds by the first of February (when we are suppose to be going on a family vacation), but my body decided a plateau was more fun. I guess I need to set another goal.0

I'm shooting for 5-10 pounds a month...at least for this first month....my weight seems to be dropping fast right now, but I think for the next couple months I may start slowing down... as long as I see some progress each month whether it's weight loss or inches lost I'll be happy!!0

I try not to set weight goals. Over the long run I do have a weight goal of AVERAGE 1.5 lbs a week. But as we all know in the end..."the body will do what it wants to do" So weight goals can sometimes backfire.
I try to focus more on goals I can control. I do 2 week goals rather than months goals. Last two weeks was to do 45 minutes of cardio 5 days a week. Next two weeks my goal is to do the Body For Life workout. Which is 6 days a week alternating cardio and lifting.0 -
You should! Something every week: February goal check in week 1.
I have two monthly goals: 1st to have 1/2 plate be veggies at lunch and/or dinner. 2nd: not talk on the cell phone around other people - it's rude.
My family decided to do monthly new year's resolutions - we get a new one each month. The cell phone was mine. Other ideas were: lose 3 lbs, get rid of 5 lbs worth of "stuff" each week, read a book a week, organize the office, clean out the "junk" drawer or two, pick up litter one time each week, stop complaining, etc.0
