How is this plan?

Hello,
I'm a 26yo Male, 5'8 and about 185. I am fairly lean but unsure of my body fat % (never had it measured but I'd guess between 15%-20%). My goal is to get my body fat down under 8%.
Now I put my information into the MyFitness app and it has me taking in 1700 calories. I've been sticking to that eating pretty clean calories and eating smart, plus doing my strength + cardio everyday (about 20-30 minutes each for 60 minutes total) and I'm finishing under the 1700 recommendation by anywhere from 300-600 calories a day.
I'm not so concerned with my weight since I'm strength training too so my means of measuring success will definitely be the mirror.
If anyone has any suggestions on this gameplan I'd be open to hear it. I've never really tried to "cut" before and there's a lot of information out there that seems to be contradicting at times and confusing and I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my time.
