Bad feeling about this

Verge of Splurge.

I'm on the edge...Tuesday mornings are my 1 week weigh-in for losing a pound a week. I've done real well this week so I'm under that goal and should be close to 2 pounds lost since last Tuesday (at least I was this morning). Celebration Time. So I'm sitting here thinking about doing some snacking this afternoon and evening. I know I shouldn't. Arghh....

Try to come up with a non-food reward! You will feel much better after it if you don't indulge that snacking beast and just bask in your success of two pounds lost, Congrats and keep it up!

Go on hulu.com and watch older episodes of The Biggest Loser. That helps me sometimes.

Good advice, all. I ended up eating 100 calories of pistachios, 100 calories of potato chips and a handful of Chex Mix. Not too bad. But your all's advice would have been better. I especially like the lo-cal hot chocolate idea. Have to look for that next time in the store. And the look for better ways of rewarding myself - excellent advice. Thanks again.

I found that when I weighed myself daily...even though I had only one official weigh-in day...if I was doing well during the week, I would somehow either sabotage having a great result or I would get complacent and not finish strong. why do that to yourself? losing 2 pounds (or more) in a week is real nice...but unless you are celebrating hitting your goal, what exactly have you achieved? you've had a nice 6 days so far. that's nice, but don't take this the wrong way...big deal. don't sabotage your progress. don't get complacent. its one thing to have a planned cheat meal along the way...its quite another thing just to have an arbitrary celebration meal/afternoon. doing so is only losing power to your mind. stay strong on this journey and you will achieve success faster. if, however, you celebrate 2 pound losses each week, some of that success will either be fleeting or not as great as it could be.

saying all of that...hey, its your journey...if you want to self-sabotage or become complacent....what the heck.

Yeah, you're right. Complacency. That's what it was. So much weight loss has come so quickly that it is easy for me to slip into that mode. I do need to stay on top of this. Thanks.
