ipod nano and Polar Wearlink as a heart rate monitor

Does anyone use their ipod nano with a Polar Wearlink (Nike+) transmitter? I'm wondering how accurate the nano calculates calories burned compared to a Polar watch.

I'm in the market for both a new music player and a new heart rate monitor (old transmitter is on the fritz) and figure this setup might be awesome.
