Just the amount of calories you have left in the day or do you look at your nutritional breakdown and what you are lacking for the day?

This is the first day I've come close to may daily fat goal, I'm usually way under. I added some avacado to my dinner. I was mainly paying attention to calories before but I'm going to start looking at my nutrient details more.

I pre-log and plan about a week ahead of time. This way I am able to come pretty close to ALL my goals, not just the macros or the calories. It also saves me time and money in the grocery store as I only buy the things I need to make those particular meals.

i personally dont follow my macros at all. and they are usually fine anyway. I have pre planned lunch and breakfast, my mum plans dinner and its usually meat plus lots of veg, then i have a little desert at the end of the day. so i sorta plan my meals, but if im still hungry i will go via calories, and try and get the most filling with the least calories plus try and go healthy not crap. on weekends im not very planned and i just go by calories/wat will fill me/wat i feel like having/wat is healthy

I make sure I hit my minimum protein & fat requirements & then hit my calorie goal.

I try and hit my macros as well as my calories. On a good day I will even try and keep the sugar and sodium low too.

I generally try to hit my macro goals. I got fairly protein obsessed at some point, so I find that I often meet or exceed my protein goal by the time I get home from work. So I spend the rest of the evening finding carby or fatty things to eat. It's a nice problem to have.

I eat what Im in the mood for. If Ive come close to calories for the day, Ill adjust and see if there is something else that appeals if Im feeling peckish at night. And sometimes I do. I try to get the bulk of my calories in before 8 pm, but I work nights and sometimes I burn more than at other times depending on how the closing of the store goes. If I have 2 areas to close on my own, I burn WAY more calories than if the precloser does their job and I do mine. Sadly, I get the dirty end more than not. Oh well, they can gain the pounds Im losing doing their extra work.

I find as an ex weight watchers follower my fibre is always a bit over.
  • I didn't hit my macros, and that didn't bother me until I rearranged them. 50% carbs was just too much for me, now I try very hard to stay at 30% (which is a challenge!). I still tend to go overboard on fat (if only by a little) and am struggling to keep up with protein. Need more protein..
