    Ask yourself this:

How will you feel mentally if you do not go? Is not going worth how you will feel about yourself?

Think of the exercise calories you will burn! And then think about eating them.
  • Good point. ^_^

Right now I'm reminding myself not so much of how I'll feel if I don't go, but how good I know I feel when I push myself and get a great workout done.

Okay, exercise clothes are on, shoes are laced, and DVD is in the player. I can't turn back now.
  • Alright, that felt GREAT!

I did my planned 30 minutes of step aerobics, then went on to do 15 more minutes of regular aerobics.

It felt soooo good to get back into exercising after not working out for almost a week. I think after a couple days of skipping my workout, I start to build it up in my mind, and make it seem like it's going to e really hard. Once I start though, and actually get in the mindset that it's gonna be fun, it goes by like a snap. Kinda like housework. (though that isn't nearly as fun!)

    Thanks guys!

Oh, and by the way, for anyone interested in a good aerobics video that's easy to do but still has a dancy feel I suggest Kari Anderson's PUSH (has a 30 minutes step workout, plus a 20 minutes high-low impact). It's a bit complicated at first, but she is a wonderful instuctor and the moves are pretty simple once you can break them down (and you have to count, it's all in sets of 4 and 8 steps). :flowerforyou: It took me about 4 or 5 times to really figure out all the moves, but now that I know them, it's a very fun workout.

I'm proud of you, Sister, for going through with your workout!!! And Banks can seem like the ultimate, butt-kicking, male version of Gillian... He scares me, sometimes, too:happy:

    That's the point.

Thanks Pink! I actually AM studying to be an ACE certified Personal Trainer.
I would have gotten the cert already if not for work being a ***** lately. Remember, the idea of going to the gym is a lot worse then actually going.

Lemme know if you plan to come work overseas. I might book you when you're just starting training, to get a promotional offer. I wouldn't mind being a lab rat in this case  .

Web Cams and VoIP phones are a wonderous thing. I don't need to be there in person. I can verbally abuse you right here from the comfort of my own computer. LOL! I will need lab rats though. I think there are a couple of MFP'ers around me, I'm going to tap them for guinea pigs when I first get the cert. And don't worry, ACE (American Council on Exercise) requires a CPR certification, so when My first client keels over, I can revive them.

    Nope, good try though.

    Here's a hint.

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Perl Harbor?" ... "Germans?" ... "Forget it, he's rolling."
