Hi Everyone. I need ideas for fitting in a workout with a 3 yr old around. I am a stay at home mom who needs to exercise to get my blood sugars down. Are you able to workout, for example with Wii fit with a toddler joining you? She doesn't nap anymore. And it is getting too cold to go outside everyday.

Thanks for your ideas.

I have a three year old. He loves trying to do Wii Fit with me, and is actually getting very good at some of the games on there. He also has fun trying to Zumba with me. I will also run up and down the stairs with him. He thinks we are playing, but I am getting some pretty good calorie burns on the stairs!

I have a 34 month old an a 14 month old. I try to work out while my youngest sleeps. My (almost) 3 yr old will do yoga with me, boxing, Zumba, she tries to do 30 Day Shred with me.

I also run before my husband leaves for work or when he gets home- which gives me a nice break as well.

I have an almost 3 year old. It's very cold here now too so we're inside a lot more.

Sometimes she joins in with me while exercise. Other times I work out while she is eating. Sometimes I set up things like painting or edible finger paint or projects (crafts--glue sticks, glitter glue, etc) to keep her occupied.

Another thing - I have an exercise ball- guess who is my weight for a lot of the exercises I do there? He makes a great weight for leg lifts, bicep curls, etc. He thinks it is a great game and it is fun for me too. By the end, we are both worn out. Do it early enough in the day, and he may take some more short naps for you too!

Thanks Everyone. I have wii fit. I will have to do it with her and get some dvd's. She doesn't nap anymore. so we will have to just do it together.
    Thanks :)
