Noodle Soup - Liquid = ??Sodium??

I like chicken noodle soup but am not fond of the liquid, so I drain it out.
My question is does it affect the amount of sodium I'm taking in? Or is it all in the noodles?
Just wondering.
thx :flowerforyou:

yes it does, however I'm not sure by bow much you are reducing. I would est. it to be 20-25% less. Good choice!0

check out the nutritional chart for it if you can find one for prepared vs unprepared.
I assume it's similar to mac and cheese where the pasta itself doesn't have sodium (and I know my home-made pasta has minimal as it is nothing but flour and eggs), but the cheese sauce is loaded with it, IF you can remove the clump of flavour that dissolves (assuming dry soup) and then just cook the noodles you should cut down your sodium. If its liquid soup you'll still be getting sodium as the noodles are sitting in salt water ... err broth0
