Hi,
I just wanted to ask does anyone know a good subsitute for butter/margarine as i was baking chocolate chip cookies today and i no idea what to replace the butter with as that was the only fatty thing in the recipe tbh. Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

most lower fat recipes I know replace half the fat (oil or butter/margarine) with fruit puree, baby food prunes or applesauce. Light butter can be substituted equally in many recipes, but the "light" part is usually extra water and air so some sauces end up runny instead of creamy. Most baked goods seem to do okay, as far as I've been able to tell. The only thing that didn't turn out well for me was a flourless chocolate cake recipe.0

Just use butter like the recipe calls for. Enjoy your cookies!0
