I worked so hard for an entire year to lose 15lbs. I hadn't been 150lbs since freshman year of high school (11 years ago). I worked so incredibly hard and it took so much work to get there, and in the past two months I've gained it all back (lots of stress at work/eating more and doing less) I feel so disgusting and unsexy....Why does it have to be so easy to gain weight. I wish I had those high metabolism genes. I am so bummed right now.

Sorry. Just realized this is in the wrong section on here. I meant to put this in the General Diet area

  • I join you in the 2010-2011 fail! I did it up big ...I had lost 80 over 2 years. In the end of 2010 I gave up...I knew I had gained some back-to my dismay when I got on a scale last week that "some" was 50 lbs. I am so ashamed that I let all of that hard work go right out the window that easily! We did it before we can do it again! Just know there are probably plenty of us in the same boat and we are all working to get there! Good luck on your journey

I am right there with you, but it's OK!! I fell off and gained the little that I had lost too. But hey, don't beat yourself up, you can loose it again... the year is almost over, a new year brings a new start!!

Me too. Last month I gained back half of what I'd lost this year.

Earlier today I would have preferred to die over trying to dress myself. I seriously considered not leaving the house.

Then I came on MFP and saw the people who have fought great personal battles for their health and for their families, and who've won (and lost) a lot more than I have... and now I feel like a whiny little brat who just needs to keep. on. track.

    Thanks guys!

I was almost at 40 lbs lost. Now at 27. At least I exercise all the time now. You can do this!

I'm totally with you. I had hopes and goals of losing 100 since the end of Dec 2010. I lost and gained the same 10 lb range. Not by MFP's fault. My friends are good support its been me failing to track all the time and exercise has been out the window since April/May and then I tried a couple times to get into a routine but never made it through the week. I suck, I know. Then had to get a new BP pill which has me actually running 5-7 lbs over that weight I was in Jan. I totally failed 2011. :(

But I'm working with my Dr.s and I am getting help. My body can't take all this weight anymore and I can't get answers for what is wrong with myself on some heart and inflammation issues. My knee has been stiff for weeks and now every time I get up so is my back. Thankfully moving and exercise makes both feel better. But I need to be done with letting life get in the way. There will always be something to block me if I don't push through it. I HAVE to regain my health and get to a healthy weight.

I think almost all of us have been in that situation, at least once before. I know I have. I remember when I was younger, my weight problem wasn't as serious. I weighed around 185 (but ideal weight is 120-145). I worked and worked and worked, and got down to 165-- almost the lowest i'd ever been as a young adult. And then, two months later, I'd skyrocketed to 200--higher than I'd ever been before.

It was devastating to see that number on the scale-- my first foray into the 200s, and unfortunately, I've been stuck here ever since.

Now i topped out my highest weight at 231. Ive just started again and Im struggling to get anything off.. its just hard for all of us. :C But we keep going!!

I sent a friend request. LEts keep eachother going, haha.
