I swear I'm not losing any more weight. Many (many, many) years ago I lost a bunch of weight and got down to 145 lbs and went up to a DD cup. After some years of marriage and some weight I was up to a DDD. Now I'm losing again and I'm down 26 lbs and just measured myself for a new bra and I went down a band size and up a cup size. From a 40 DDD to a 38 F. WFT?!?!? I can't keep doing this!!!

I think that makes a lot of sense. You're probably losing more belly fat than breast fat so your cup size is going up. It doesn't mean your boobs are actually getting bigger. I'd guess that's what happening. Or do you mean you're just sick of your boobs becoming more pronounced, regardless of whether they're actually bigger?0

Your boobs are actually staying the same size but every time a band size goes down the cup size goes up and it works in the opposite way too..0

I found that when I buy a smaller band size, the cup is smaller. Soo it looks like your actual volume is the same, which is what every girl wants!!! Congratulations.

It isn't that your breast are getting bigger it is just that when your band sizr goes down your cup size will go up because the sizing is different, for example my breast haven't grown but i went from a 10C and i am now wearing an 8D. Which means my breasts still fit into a 10C but it will be loose where the band is and sometimes the cup is even to big. Hope that helps.0

I sure am happy you posted this because I had NO idea of that band down cup up thing. I have been having a heck of a time getting new bras since I lost weight and have just been wearing my current bras which fit-weird- now. So NOW I know what to do next time I go to the store!!!! This is like such an eye-opener for me. Band down cup up!!!! Why am I JUST learning this!!!???0

your breasts are not getting any bigger... you are getting smaller around. If you go down a band size you go up a cup size assuming your not losing or gaining in your breast. It is called sister sizing you can learn more about it through google. I now wear a 34 c or a 36 B, those are both the same cup size just a different band size.
Before posting this I should have read everyone elses posts lol before posting the exact same information... lol0 -
That's the frustrating part!!! I know that it means my rib case is getting smaller and that my breasts are staying the same. That's the frustrating part. I want them to go down and I want them to shrink. Then I could take a little more time before I get a reduction. These things are killing my back and I want them to go away!!!
All this weight loss and nothing from my boobs!!!0 -
Hahhaha, no worries about that - if you breast volume stays same size and you still like some of your old bras, you can actually just make adjustments to the band. Most bra models allow you to shorten them a little and voila - they fit again perfectly and it saves you some money! :-) Works fine at least when lost just 5-10-15 kg, if more then need to go buy new ones but better buy a little shorter band if gonna lose still more.
When you are still in weight management process and some more kilos to go, better not invest too much for new wardrobe that will be again too big very soon. Economically and environmentally it's more reasonable to reuse old ones by making adjustments for them until the final goal has been reached. Even then can wait a little since the skin will tighten up with delay and you'll get more toned, especially if exercise a lot.
Happy for you really, losing breast volume - or firmness - is not what I like in losing weight! :-)0 -
