I just began using TRX Force one week ago, and here you are my first impressions, maybe could help you if you are checking out the net for more infor about this "gadget".
At the beginning is a little bit difficult to get used to it because is different than working out in the weight machines. When you workout in the machines you just seat down there or lay down in the bench, right? With TRX, because you are suspended, you must not only do the exercise but also balancing your body, your core is working full time, not to fall down.
Because you are working out with your body weight you can add as much difficulty as you want by changing the angle in which you are performing the exercise. From 0 degrees, standing up, to 90 degrees, paralel to the floor, maximum weight.
That's good because when you are working out with dumbells or barbels everybody can see how strong or weak you are according with the weights you are using.
In this case nobody can realize it but you.
When I do weights my heart beat goes down because I am relaxed doing the exercise. When I do TRX I am working out at a good heart rate because of I am not only working out the muscle group in which I am focus in but also the stabilizers and core.
It is true that everybody look at you at the gym because you are doing something "different", and it is true that some Personal Trainers are not into this kind of "gadgets" because they are really comfortable in their body building thoughts but TRX helps you to develop your muscles too.
For me to be fit means to be able to handle your own body weight, I am not talking about body building but fitness.
I will keep on training TRX and recheck my fitness goals in a couple of months again.
Of course this training is IN ADITION to the cardiovascular training. If you are aiming to lose weight CARDIO is VERY, VERY IMPORTANT!!
Do not hesitate to friend me if you want or ask me anything you want via PM
Best Regards / José D.

I have to say Jose I'm excited for u!
I just invested in more free weights and a kettle ball but I suspect TRX will do more!0 -
Hey Dude!!
I think that this is not an "or-or" situation but it could be an "and-and" situation. I watched in Youtube some clips about people training both Kettlebells and TRX at the same time, so, "in the world of fitness there is room for everything together"
Keep going, you are doing it great!
