Does cold weather make you have to pee more?

Sorry, didn't know of a delicate way to put that LOL

The deeper we get into winter here, the more I find myself having to run to the little boys room it seems.

I've also found that since losing all my weight I have to wear a ton more clothes, I'm always cold, maybe it's my body working harder with the lost insulation trying to keep me warm?

Well, on your first point, I honestly haven't noticed. Maybe you are drinking more water?

On the second point, I am soooo much colder all the time now that I don't have as much fat as I used to! When I was at my biggest, I could go out in snowy weather to the mailbox and be fine in short sleeves. Nowadays, just walking my dog at night when it's only like 50 degrees outside and I grab a jacket.

I've been consistently drinking between 12 and 16 8oz glasses a day for a few years, have not noticed this as much until winter started to set in here the past month or so.

I guess I'll try cutting back a few glasses a day to see if that helps.

Having been a full fledged Type 2 Diabetic in the past, that's what I though of at first since that is a tell tale symptom, but my blood sugar has been perfect throughout thank goodness.

Yeah - it makes sense that you pee more in the winter as you are not losing any moisture through sweating. If you maintain the same input all year around you are going to pee way more in the winter - especially if where you live gets warm or hot in the summer.

There's an area of my workplace that's always colder than the rest. Many times I'll get over there and find I have to head all the way back to the restroom. I think some days I just don't pay attention to my body's needs and the cold serves as a wake up call.
Somehow I just ignored that I needed to use the restroom. The cold air will remind me in that situation every time!

Though I have to admit the first thing I remembered when I saw your post was back in the day of grade school slumber parties. Did you ever put a sleeping friend's hand in a bowl of cold water to see if they'd pee their pants? It was always right up there with the shaving cream or toothpaste on the nose trick, lol! But If my memory serves me right I don't think it ever worked! : )
